I have a new DVD, Early Man, because kids like it very much after watching it and want me to rip it to MP4 for iPad and the new Apple TV so that they can watch it them whenever they like. I also like to rip Bluray DVD Early Man to MP4 or AVI and I have an easy solution for ripping Early Man either the Bluray edition or DVD to MP4, AVI, MKV, iPhone/iPad, Apple TV. Here we go.
To back up, or not to backup Shakespeare BBC DVDs, that is NOT a question. This is just because DVDs are easily get scratched and it is far easier if you have a kid! When I try Leawo DVD Ripper, I was so impressed with the quality and ease. The fact the software does the ripping so quickly is a bonus. Friends that have seen the videos have been equally impressed. I always mention the software that I used and here I’d like to recommend this program for all you guys to rip DVDs to iPhone/iPad.
I don’t agree with Mark O’Neill on most of the other tools because what he recommended is really limited and I do believe there is better programs for DVD and Blu-ray ripping and video converting. Besides, most of the 9 tools mentioned by Mark are for Windows only. There are better choices for Mac users. And I decided to share my opinions on those Bluray and DVD rippers as well as my recommendations or alternatives, especially for macOS users.
I want to rip and reencode my Bluray DVD library to x265 (HEVC). However, I also want to use the higher efficiency of the video codec while keep audio the same. Reducing original Bluray h264 to 60% bitstream that should keep the quality the same but reduces the size would be perfect to me. I would like to have the option 1:1 (video, sound) convert to H265 highest quality.
