I have a previous post on how to change DVD’s aspect radio between 4:3 and 16:9 and the DVD I used as example is from BBC. As far as I can see, BBC DVDs are quite special with multiply episodes and chapters, somewhat like TV show DVDs. I think I should write this post so you guys can better rip BBC DVD.
I don’t agree with Mark O’Neill on most of the other tools because what he recommended is really limited and I do believe there is better programs for DVD and Blu-ray ripping and video converting. Besides, most of the 9 tools mentioned by Mark are for Windows only. There are better choices for Mac users. And I decided to share my opinions on those Bluray and DVD rippers as well as my recommendations or alternatives, especially for macOS users.
Upon a Google search, I notice there are two Bluray programs called WinX Blu-ray Ripper and WinX Blu-ray Decrypter, however both says “Sorry, the Software is invalid”. Does WinXDVD or WinX DVD Ripper Platinum support Bluray disks?
I recently got a 3D Blu-ray movie Smurfs.The.Lost.Village for kids. I don’t have many Blu-ray discs as they are still too expensive for me but this one is at a good discount at the local Walmart. When I play the Blu-ray I notice it has a 3D mode and a 2D mode and when I try to rip it, I notice my Bluray rippers only rip the 2D movies. Is there a True SBS 3D Bluray Ripper that rips 3D Bluray to 3D MP4/MKV/AVI?
During my tries to rip DVD chapters into individual files, I find the below two programs really good to go and would like to recommend them to you all.
AnyMP4 DVD Ripper Review-Best DVD Ripping Software to Rip DVD to 3D MP4 MKV AVI on Windows 10 with chapters with fast ripping speed.

When it comes to DVD ripping, MakeMKV always comes first as it is free and fast to backup protected DVDs to MKV with ease. However, I don’t think it always meet my needs as so far I can’t find how to do what I want: I want rip my DVD and compress video and audio to to H264, but with dual or multiple and even all audio tracks.
There are quite some ripping solutions say they support Bluray ripping, Sothink Bluray Ripper and Xilisoft Bluray Ripper are two of them. However, how do they work and do Sothink and Xilisoft Bluray Ripper support protected Blu-rays?
I try to visit MakeMKV.com recently around Sep. 2017, only to find all MakeMKV website, including its main site and the forum, is down and suspended. There is the most current beta key code as well as an alternative for MakeMKV beta version which can be used in Windows, macOS and Linux versions for Bluray and DVD ripping.
Does Wondershare Support Bluray Ripping? I have tested a couple of Bluray rippers, however I found some of them just don’t work on protected DVDs like Xilisoft Blu-ray Ripper and Sothink Blu-ray Ripper. You may have to use third-party plugins so as to rip protected Blu-rays. Here I’d like to recommend you two for protected Blu-ray ripping.
