Christmas is a great time to share with families and I’d always like to watch Bluray or DVD movies with my wife and kids. And here I’d like to recommend three great Bluray DVDs for watching during Christmas with family, especially with kids, and a great way to rip and backup those Blurays and DVDs to HDD or watch them on iPhone/iPad/Apple TV as well as other devices from Google, Samsung, Sony HTC and even the VR headsets!
Christmas Bluray DVDs for Kids
The three movies are what I recommend and they are all available on Amazon.
Despicable Me 3:
Gru meets his long-lost charming, cheerful, and more successful twin brother Dru who wants to team up with him for one last criminal heist.
Despicable Me 3 is rated 6.3 out of 10. I and the kids like the Minions, how about you?
The LEGO Ninjago Movie:
Shunned by everyone for being the son of an evil warlord, a teenager seeks to defeat him with the help of his fellow ninjas.
The Trip To Spain:
Rated 6.7 out of 10 on IMDb. It’s a comedy movie to be worth watching with families and enjoy the happy time.Actors Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon embark on a six-part episodic road trip through Europe. This time they’re in Spain, sampling the restaurants, eateries, and sights along the way.
Christmas Bluray DVD Rippers PC/Mac
As far as I can see, Christmas DVDs and Bluray discs are always specially encrypted and being able to rip protected disc like AACS, BD+, Cinavia in Blurays and ARccOS, CSS, CPRM in DVDs, to name but a few, is extremely required in ripping Christmas Bluray and DVDs.
Among all those Christmas Bluray and DVD Rippers, MakeMKV is really powerful in decrypting Bluray and DVD discs and save all the audio and subtitle tracks in MKV format. While it is free for DVD ripping, it costs $50 for Bluray disc ripping and there is NO discount for it. The ripping speed for both Bluray and DVD is super fast as MakeMKV does not encode but just remux.
Together with Handbrake, which is always free, you are able to recode the MKV files to more compatible MP4 files up to 1080P in resolution for iPhone/iPad/Apple TV and a majority of Android-based devices.
For ripping Christmas DVDs, MakeMKV and Handbrake is your perfect choice as they are free. As for Bluray ripping, anyone who is interested in this combination can support MakeMKV, it is $50 for a lifetime license.
In my previous post, I have discussed whether MakeMKV and Handbrake are the best combinations to rip Bluray and I actually don’t quite think so which has been explained in detail in the post. You can check the post for more information.
So, here I’d like to recommend an all-in-one Bluray and DVD ripping solution for both PC and Mac users-Leawo Bluray Ripper. As a function module in Leawo’s all-in-one media solution Leawo Prof. Media, Leawo Bluray Ripper is my choice over MakeMKV and Handbrake due to the following reasons and some are unique:
