Apple added a very convenient and practical cross-device “universal clipboard” feature to the latest iOS and macOS. With this feature, you can copy texts on the Mac, and then paste in the iPhone/iPad, or copy on the phone and paste on a Mac computer.
However, if you do not have any iDevices and want to sync clipboard between Windows, Linux, Mac computers, Android phones, and other multiple devices, there is a lightweight solution for you-Clipbrd, a Chrome browser extension working as a cloud clipboard.
A free Utility to Copy on Computers and Paste on Phones
While talking about copying texts on computers and pasting them on phones or vice versa, copying in phones and pasting in computers, it is really my desire to make it possible, and probably yours as well. Clipbrd is the very tool that you may need but is not quite known to all.
Clipbrd is a Google Chrome extension that supports Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS, and other desktop operating systems, and it also provides an Android App. With the help of Clipbrd, you can copy and paste texts remotely across different platforms between Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, etc. And it is completely free to use, making it an absolute lifesaver for office work.
How to use Clipbrd as a Remote Clipboard
First of all, you need a Google Chrome browser.
After installing the Clipbrd extension, you will have to register an account and then log on the same account in different computers’ Chrome browsers and Android devices so as to achieve the remote copy and paste.
You just copy the text, as usual, the computers and phones that log on the same Clipbrd account will automatically receive this text and save it in the clipboard, you then just go directly and paste it on the target device. It is as simple as that.
According to my tests, the Clipbrd synchronization is nice and fast. While you copy the texts on one device, other equipment will be able to paste out immediately. Moreover, not only can you copy texts in the browser, but the system texts or other software texts as well.
