It is known to most of us that after Jobs left Apple, he founded NeXT, a company that focused on multimedia processing. The company was later acquired by Apple and the techniques were integrated into macOS, making it inherently more avid for video editing and film post-production. iMovie and Final Cut Pro were launched by Apple and they beat AVID to be the most popular and one of the best video editing application and Prores 422 is the featured encoding that makes HD editing possible even in MacBook Air instead of the powerful workstations.
In my previous post, I explained in detail how to rip DVDs to ProRes 422, 422 HD etc for FCP 7 or FCP X with Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate. Actually, as the all-in-one solution for video converting, YouTube downloading, DVD ripping and burning, iOS/Android video transferring, Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate is still able to convert 2018 FIFA World Cup videos or recordings to FCP 7 FCP X compatible ProRes 422 and ProRes 4444.

Russia World Cup Video to Final Cut Pro Conversion Tips
To increase the speed of World Cup video to FCP converting by up to 200% like I do in MKV to MP4, I suggest you guys turn on the High-Speed Conversion mode as shown below:
ProRes is removed from the Windows version of Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate, “since it is a sensitive output format from Apple”, as is explained by Wondershare Support Team.
You can try the pro version named Wondershare Video Converter Pro to convert World Cup videos to ProRes 422 including Proxy, HD, LT and ProRes 4444 on Windows. You can download the pro version here:
The difference between the pro and ultimate version is that pro version does not support DVD ripping.
If you already purchase the ultimate version and still want to convert World Cup video to FCP, you can contact the support team and they are glad to apply a new code for you.
Final Cut Pro Alternative for Windows 10
I know it is a great experience to edit World Cup videos with Final Cut Pro 7 or Final Cut Pro X on macOS. However, when it comes to video editing on PC, there don’t seem to be qualified programs as the best FCP alternative. But today, I’d like you guys to try another program from Wondershare and it is Wondershare Filmora, previously been called Wondershare Video Editor.
To me, it is so far the best video editing software with a nice UI and over 1000 elements for those who are not that professional to make professional videos on either PC or Mac. I have been using it to edit 4K 2018 World Cup videos, watermark my Russia World Cup recordings and make slideshows from World Cup photos. And, you can have a trial to see how it works for you.
And there comes the question, which do you think is better, Final Cut Pro or Filmora?
